(Juneau) - House Labor & Commerce Committee Chair Kurt Olson, R-Kenai, is the featured member for today's House Majority Caucus daily audio actualities.

Rep. Olson comments on today's hearing by officials with the U.S. Census Bureau. Olson says he asked the bureau to present before the committee because he believes that every uncounted Alaskan impacts the amount of federal funds that come to the state, in addition to having redistricting consequences later. Olson also emphasizes the strict information privacy standards the bureau employs, to help reassure constituents who are worried about the confidentially of their responses being compromised.

Rep. Olson encourages any interested Alaskans who would like a copy of the U.S. Census Bureau presentation to call his office at 907-465-2693.
